DetailsTenby's RNLI all-weather lifeboat Haydn Miller launched for the third time in the day at 2.20pm on Wednesday 28th August, following a call to the Coastguard from the occupants of a yacht stating they had suffered engine and power failure and were adrift to the west of Worms Head, 14 miles south east of Tenby.

The volunteer crew made best speed towards the casualty vessel and were alongside within 30 minutes, where the crew of the casualty vessel requested a tow back to Tenby.

Some two hours later, the lifeboat finally arrived back in Tenby, where the yacht was brought into the harbour and moored alongside the wall so that repairs could be made to the vessel.

The lifeboat then returned to station, arriving at 5.30pm.
