Details | Tenby's RNLI all-weather lifeboat Haydn Miller launched at about 4.30am on Wednesday 28th August, following a call to the Coastguard from the occupants of a yacht moored in North Bay, reporting that their anchor had dragged, causing them to drift and they were now in danger of colliding with other vessels.
The volunteer crew launched and due to the yacht’s close proximity to the station, they were on scene within seconds.
The crew assisted the occupants of the casualty vessel in retrieving their anchor, which had become snagged on another mooring in the bay, before placing the yacht on one of the lifeboat moorings.
The lifeboat then returned to station.
