|Details||Both of Tenby’s RNLI lifeboats launched at around 2.13pm on Saturday 27th April, after Milford Haven Coastguard received multiple 999 calls to report that a paddle boarder was in difficulty in the water and being blown out to sea from Saundersfoot in a strong offshore wind.
The boats were quickly on scene and were flagged down by a local vessel that had seen the paddle boarder and gone to his aid. The casualty was taken aboard the inshore lifeboat and returned to shore at Saundersfoot where he was met by Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team.
The all-weather lifeboat, along with a Coastguard Rescue helicopter which was now overhead, then performed a search up as far as Amroth to make sure they had the right casualty and that nobody else was in difficulty.
Once this was complete, all units were stood down and returned to station.
