Haydn Miller tasked following red flare sighting . . . .

At 1.45am today (4 August), Tenby’s RNLI all-weather lifeboat was tasked by Milford Haven Coastguard to check out a vessel that had been located during a search by Coastguard teams and a rescue helicopter after red flares were sighted off Stackpole. The vessel in question was moored off Broadhaven and had a fishing rod over the side but the helicopter couldn’t see anyone aboard.

As the volunteer crew were assembling, news came through that the owner of the vessel had been found safely ashore at home.

The lifeboat crew were stood down and returned home.
