Lifeboat assists in search for missing teenager.

Tenby’s all-weather lifeboat launched at 8:02pm on Saturday 9th May after a report from the Police that an at-risk 17yr old male was missing in the Lydstep area. The boat was soon on scene and the volunteer crew began a search of the rocks and shoreline from Giltar Point towards East Moor cliff and back again whilst the Tenby and St Govans Coastguard units and Police Helicopter X-ray 99 searched the land.

As the lifeboat neared Proud Giltar towards the end of their search leg, and with light fading quickly, the Police decided they were happy with the area that the boat had searched and stood the lifeboat down. The boat was re-housed at 9.30pm. The missing youth was later found by Police in the Penally area.
