Tenby all-weather lifeboat launches after body boarder goes missing in surf off Burry Holmes . . . . .

At 13:28pm on Tuesday 4 August, Tenby’s all weather lifeboat launched following a report that a body boarder had gone missing at Blue Pool, near Burry Holmes – some 15 miles east of Tenby.

The lifeboat was quickly on the water and the volunteer crew made best speed in rough seas to the scene. Burry Port inshore lifeboat was also launched to assist in the search.

Luckily, as the lifeboats were approaching the scene, the casualty was located safe and well on the beach. The lifeboats were stood down and returned to station.
