Tenby’s inshore lifeboat assists Police and Coastguard in search for possible missing teenager . . . .
Tenby’s RNLI inshore lifeboat was launched shortly after 9pm today (26 June) at the request of Milford Haven Coastguard after the Police received a report that a youth may be missing on Tenby’s South beach.
The Georgina Taylor was on the water within 4 minutes and the volunteer crew began a shoreline search from Castle Beach up to Giltar Point, whilst Tenby Police and Coastguard Teams searched the beach and caves.
Having searched the whole area and after speaking to several people on the rocks at Giltar who had seen nobody enter the water, the search was stood down.
The lifeboat arrived back on station at 9.50pm
