DetailsTenby's inshore lifeboat was requested to launch shortly before 6.30pm on Monday 14th June, following a report of a family cut off by the tide near Llansteffan.

The all weather lifeboat, which was preparing to launch on exercise, was also tasked a short time later.

As both boats were making their way towards Llansteffan, the Coastguard received confirmation that the family had managed to get to safety and were no longer in difficulty.

The Georgina Taylor returned to station, whilst the Haydn Miller continued on its exercise.
